The Alimak SE has been designed from the drawing board to boost user profitability by allowing bigger loads to be lifted more easily and cost efficiently than ever before, no matter how tough the working environment, indoors or outdoors. Users will benefit from a highly useful variety of car sizes with in the standard range, varying from the smallest providing 4 m2 floor space to the largest lift car delivering 6 m2 floor area. The new lift also delivers a payload capacity of up to 3,300 kg.
Unique door options for greater goods lift flexibility
”We know the requirements of customers vary greatly, so we have ensured the design of the latest Alimak SE goods lift offers a useful variety of doors – one, two or three vertical sliding doors or vertical bi-parting doors,” explains Anders Norberg, Alimak Hek head of design.
For maximum benefit, the doors can be positioned on any of the three sides of the car away from the vertical mast, are available in two widths (1.56 m and 1.82 m) and have a 2.35 m opening height which allows for forklift loading. Placing the doors on each side of the car ensures a flexible and logical solution to simplify loading and unloading.
”To ensure maximum versatility, the doors take up no space inside or outside the car when opened, a very real benefit when the lift is being used to transport bulky materials or when installed in an extremely confined space,” Anders Norberg says.
Forklift loading
The optional hydraulic locking of the lift car is used when forklift loading is demanded. The lift has been designed in such a way that all of the forklifts in the world normally used for this kind of application fit in the car, enabling easy transport of forklifts between landing levels. The lifts load carrying structure is enhanced by the stiff car floor, which is fully welded of formed steel sheeting for additional strength.
Easy to operate
The Alimak SE lift is push button operated from car and landings. The modern collective control system operates in the same way as a conventional lift up to 64 landings and boasts group control for up to 6 lifts as well as an internal fault diagnostic system. All controls are logically positioned in the car and the car-wall integrated electrical unit is easily accessible for service and maintenance. Optional ventilation units in the wall panels create a user-friendly environment.
Remote monitoring
As an added bonus, Alimak Hek’s online A3 remote monitoring system can be fitted as an accessory, which means the lift can work 24 hours a day fully monitored with any faults being traced instantly to speed correction and minimize downtime.
Safety
The new Alimak SE goods and passenger lift incorporates all the safety features that have made Alimak lifts a benchmark for the industrial applications worldwide. The unique progressive Alimak safety device comes into operation should the lift exceed the rated speed, bringing the car to a smooth stop. The lift is also fitted with an overload-sensing device.
