Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex
Alimak Hek Ltd provided an ALIMAK ALILIFT 2000 FC temporary lift at the popular Lakeside Shopping Centre in Thurrock, Essex.
The client needed a temporary lift system that was suitable for use by the general public whilst the centre's internal lift systems underwent refurbishment. Any solution needed to be compliant with various health & safety regulations and was required for 32 weeks. The ALIMAK temporary lift system was chosen as it provided the safest and most cost effective solution to their access requirements.
During the project, Alimak Hek Ltd were responsible for the installation, continued maintenance and dismantling of the temporary lift, which served to provide access to all three levels within the centre.
With an estimated 500,000 visitors per week, the temporary lift system was vital in ensuring that members of the public were not inconvenienced by the ongoing refurbishment and were able to move easily between the various levels within the shopping centre.
